Environment: Dover village spring clean could be just the start

The nationwide Keep Britain Tidy Campaign arrived in Alkham, near Dover earlier in March, with villagers keen to take on the challenge.


 




The new Parish Council Clerk, Janice Lambert, organised the spruce up with a band of volunteers,  who managed to fill ten bags with rubbish in just an hour of work.

"Well done!" she said: " How about we do this on a regular basis?"
