Crews were called to a bonfire that had become out of control on farmland in Burmarsh Road, Dymchurch just after 11.00am today, 17 April.

The fire had spread to fencing and other materials including metal and some tyres.

Crews wearing breathing apparatus used hose reels, main jets and water from a hydrant to extinguish the blaze.

An on-site digger was also used to remove some large metal items from the fire.

There were no injuries.
