A decision made by Kent County Council in February 2016 to sell Wayfarers Care Home in Sandwich as a going concern is to go ahead after a purchaser has now been selected.

The Kent County Council consultation on the future of four care homes in Kent has now closed and was discussed at the Adult Social and Health Committee meeting on Thursday 14 January.
