SouthEastern Trains has reported a fire which developed on the 15:00 Dover Priory to London Charing Cross service, before it departed Dover Priory this afternoon, 22 January 2023.

Firefighters were called and set about extinguishing the blaze.

After undertaking safety checks on the train and the track, all lines were reopened just before 17:00.

How does this affect my journey?​​​​​​​

Services on the below routes are being delayed and may be revised or cancelled:

  • London Charing Cross to Dover Priory via Folkestone and Maidstone East
  • London St Pancras International to Ramsgate via Dover Priory
  • ​​​​​​​London Victoria to Dover Priory via Chatham and Canterbury East

What do I need to do?

You can use your ticket on the following Stagecoach Bus routes to complete your journey:

  • 15 – between Dover and Canterbury
  • 81 – between Dover, Deal, Walmer and Sandwich
  • 102 – between Dover and Folkestone
