Ashford Borough Council praised over affordable housing

At a time when the lack of affordable housing across the country is a hot topic, Ashford Borough Council has approved the provision of a further 190 homes through its Housing Revenue Account between 2018 and 2024.

Thirty young people in Folkestone and Hythe will be affected by the Conservative government's decision to strip 18-21 year olds of housing benefit, research by the House of Commons library commissioned by the Liberal Democrats has shown.
