Memorial exhibition commemorating Canadian troops on show in Folkestone

Ahead of the forthcoming annual Canada Day memorial event an exhibition commemorating the Canadian troops stationed at Shorncliffe Barracks during the First World War is currently being staged in the foyer of Folkestone Town Hall .

A tribute to one of the country’s most visionary leaders during the Battle of Britain is to be unveiled by His Royal Highness Prince Michael of Kent GCVO during a short ceremony at Capel-le-Ferne today, Wednesday 31 May.

A unique piece of history will shortly be unveiled at the Battle of Britain Memorial in Kent following the presentation of the original nameplate and squadron badge from a classic steam locomotive.
