Three new Deputy Lieutenants of Kent have been appointed, each of them honoured for their positive contributions to the County and the Nation.

A little Romanian girl grabbed the hand – and the heart – of the Prince of Wales on Friday when he visited a hospice in Romania to celebrate its 25th anniversary.

Flags are set to be raised in locations across the UK and around the Commonwealth on Monday 13 March to mark Commonwealth Day – including an event at the Dover District Council offices in Whitfield from 9.50am.

Duke of Gloucester opens new almshouses in Canterbury

HRH the Duke of Gloucester opened the new almshouses in St Stephen’s Canterbury for the Sir Roger Manwood Trust on 6 July and unveiled a plaque commemorating his visit.
