Weapons, drugs and more than £10,000 in cash have been seized as part of an investigation into a suspected county line operating from London and into parts of Kent.
Two men have been arrested and charged in connection with supplying heroin and crack cocaine in areas including Tunbridge Wells, Folkestone, Dover and Canterbury.
On Thursday 28 January 2021, Kent Police executed a search warrant at a property in Catford, where officers found more than 260 grams of Class A drugs. A firearm (believed to be a converted starting pistol) and ammunition were also seized, along with a lock knife and machete. A 23-year-old man from Catford was arrested and taken into custody.

On the following day officers attended a premises in The Leas, Folkestone where a second suspect was located. Searches here led to the discovery of around 200 wraps of heroin and crack cocaine. This resulted in the arrest of a man aged 22, of no fixed address. In total around £12,000 in cash, as well as drugs with an estimated street value of more than £28,000 were seized on both days.
Both men were charged with being concerned in the supply of heroin, being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and with two counts of possessing Class A drugs with intent to supply. They appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on 30 January 2021 and were remanded in custody. Their next hearing is scheduled at Canterbury Crown Court on 1 March.
