Kent residents targeted by COVID-19 text scam Residents in Kent are being targeted by a text scam claiming  you are eligible for a COVID-19 grant.
What happens:You will receive a text message that states:
‘GOVUK: Regarding the new lockdown conditions you are granted for a COVID-19 claim of £277.59’
What to do:This is a phishing scam to steal your personal and financial details.The link is not an official GOV.UK website.For Covid-19 financial support, visit GOV.UK.Report suspicious GOV.UK emails, texts and phone calls here.If you have fallen victim, contact Citizens Advice Scams Action on 0808 250 5050.Please warn vulnerable family members, friends and neighbours.
