A green BMW M5 was seized by Kent Police officers along with around £20,000 found hidden inside the engine compartment.
The high performance vehicle was stopped at the outbound controls of the Channel Tunnel terminal in Cheriton, near Folkestone, at around 7.30pm on Monday 8 February 2021.
A further £2,000 cash was found inside a rucksack and £3,000 inside a Louis Vuitton handbag.
Officers arrested a 29-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman from Birmingham on suspicion of money laundering. Both have since been released from custody pending further enquiries.
