A man has been charged with throwing prohibited items over a wall and into HM Prison Maidstone.
It is alleged that at around 8.40am on Saturday 13 March 2021, packages containing mobile phones and tobacco were thrown into the prison from the direction of Staceys Street.

Shortly after the incident, a man, aged 38, from Plumstead, London was located nearby and arrested.
He was later charged with throwing a list B prohibited article into a prison. He was remanded in custody to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Monday 15 March.
