Tontine Street and Harbour Street near the Creative Quarter areas of Folkestone will be closed to all traffic, both ways, for the official opening of Folkestone Triennial tonight, Wednesday 21 July from 4.00pm to midnight.

All traffic will be diverted in both directions during the closure including buses and taxis; however the northern fork of Tontine Street between the junction with closed section and Dover Road will have limited parking access space with the one way system suspended.

Through traffic is diverted from the Harbour areas via The Tram Road, Southern Way, Dover Road, Hill Road, Canterbury Road, Blackbull Road, Foord Road, New Street, Dover Road and Grace Hill etc.

Inbound traffic to the harbour areas can still utilise either the Road of Remembrance or round via  New Street, Dover Road, Southern Way and The Tram Road.

Buses 102 to and from Dover both ways and the 91 (inbound) from Dover or East Cliff will also be diverted after 1600. 

Check with the Bus Station, onboard, or any diversion posters placed.

Folkestone Triennial fully opens to the visiting public from Thursday 22nd July.
