Information is sought following a report of an attempted robbery in Meopham.

At around 3.20pm on Tuesday 21 September 2021, a teenage boy is reported to have been threatened by another teenage boy near Meopham Village Green in Wrotham Road.

Threatened victim with a knife

The suspect is said to have threatened the victim with a knife before telling him to hand over his valuables. The victim refused to hand over his belongings and ran from the scene.

The suspect is described as being black and around 5ft 10ins tall with a slim build. He is also said to be around 15 years old with short, black hair.

Boy arrested

Upon receiving the report, officers were immediately deployed to the scene and arrested a 15-year-old boy from Dartford on suspicion of attempted robbery. He remains in custody as enquiries continue.

Detectives are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the attempted robbery, or who has privately held CCTV or dash cam footage which was recorded in the area at the time of the incident.
