Witnesses and dashcam footage are being sought in a renewed appeal by investigators following a serious collision near Five Oak Green.

At around 2.40pm on Tuesday 2 November 2021, a cyclist was travelling on the A228 Maidstone Road, from the Badsell Road roundabout towards Paddock Wood, when it is thought he was involved in a collision with a car.

The cyclist suffered serious injuries and was taken to a local hospital where he remains in a critical but stable condition.

Officers from Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are carrying out enquiries to establish the circumstances including whether any other vehicles were involved in the incident.

In particular, they would like to hear from motorists with dashcam who were in the area at the time and may have footage that could assist the investigation.
