Two men suspected to be involved in the wholesale supply of drugs across Kent and the south east of England have been charged and remanded in custody.

Officers from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate have been investigating the trade of large quantities of cocaine and ketamine, estimated to be worth hundreds of thousands of pounds.

On Tuesday 9 November 2021, around 500 grams of ketamine was seized from a van parked in Geneva Avenue, Gillingham.

A man aged 33, was arrested on the same day, at his home in Lower Halstow, Sittingbourne.

A second male suspect, aged 26, from Marden, Tonbridge, was arrested on 15 November.

Charged

Both men were charged with being concerned in the supply of cocaine, being concerned in the supply of ketamine, and with money laundering offences.

They are currently remanded in custody after appearing before Medway Magistrates’ Court. Their next hearing will be at Maidstone Crown Court on 8 December.
