A suspected drink driver was arrested following the actions of an off-duty Kent Police officer.
The PC was driving towards Canterbury on the B2068 Stone Street on his way to work on the evening of Wednesday 10 November 2021.
He noticed a car swerving across the road and hitting the grass verge before coming to a halt near the junction with Hogg Lane.
Arrest
The off-duty officer challenged the driver and stayed at the scene until his on-duty colleagues arrived.
The 48-year-old driver from Sturry, has since been charged with driving while over the legal alcohol limit and has been bailed to appear at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 1 December.
