A 33-year-old man is to appear in court charged with possessing an imitation firearm in Canterbury.

The charge follows an investigation by officers into a disturbance in Cornwall Gardens in which a man was threatened. The incident took place during the early evening of Tuesday 16 November 2021.

A man from Canterbury, was charged with possessing an imitation firearm with intent and assault.

He appeared at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 18 November and was released on bail. The case will next be heard at Canterbury Crown Court on Monday 20 December.
