Witnesses are sought after a takeaway delivery driver was assaulted while working in Gravesend.

The victim had delivered some food to an address in Dering Way on Thursday 25 November 2021 before three men threatened him by demanding his scooter and mobile phone.

He attempted to leave the area and drove away on his scooter, however the group chased him on motorbikes.

They caught up to him on Rochester Road where one of them is reported to have used a baseball bat to hit him on his head and arm before they pushed him off the scooter. They then left the area empty-handed.

Following the incident, which is reported to have taken place between 7pm and 7.30pm, South East Coast Ambulance Service was called and the victim was taken to a local hospital with head injuries where he remains.

Description of suspects

The three suspects have been described as white, with one offender described as being of slim build, with short black hair and wearing a white Spiderman face mask. He was also in possession of a baseball bat.

The second suspect is reported to also of been of slim build, with blonde hair and wearing a black face mask and black tracksuit.

The third offender is described as aged 15 or 16, with blonde hair, medium build and wearing a grey tracksuit.
