Officers are investigating a report that a teenager was assaulted by a group of people in Gillingham.

The incident happened in Nile Road in the early hours of Saturday 20 November 2021.

Between 1am and 2am, the 19-year-old victim was at a party in a private address, when a stranger started to verbally abuse him.

It is alleged the man, along with several others, then dragged the victim out of the house and assaulted him, causing him to fall to the ground.

It is understood the assault continued until a member of the public intervened and the suspects ran from the scene.

The victim suffered serious facial injuries and went to hospital for medical attention.

Investigating officer, PC Mike Nolan, said: ‘We have been completing enquiries in the area, including the examination of CCTV footage, and are now appealing for anyone who saw the altercation at the Nile Road address or who witnessed the incident outside the premises to contact us.
‘Drivers with dashcam and residents with private CCTV are also asked to check for footage that may assist our investigation.’
