A disused church has been used as a base for a suspected cannabis cultivation in Northfleet.

Kent Police was called at 11.56pm on Wednesday 22 December 2021 to a report of a burglary in Rose Street.

Officers attended and found the lights on inside the building, along with a broken window. Upon entering the building, they found between 100 to 150 cannabis plants.

The plants have since been removed and the premises was made secure.

Enquiries are ongoing to find those responsible.
