Ashford residents will no doubt be pleased to know that during the festive period this year, recycling and refuse collection dates do not need to change due to Christmas Day falling on a weekend. All refuse and recycling should be out for collection by 6am over Christmas and New Year.

However bulky/large item collections will be suspended from Monday 27 December to Monday 10 January. Garden waste collections with also be suspended for the two week festive period and resume normal service W/c Monday 10January on the usual day.

Weekly Monday clinical collections will run as normal on Monday 27 December 2021, Monday 28 December 2021 and Monday 3 January 2022.

You can also recycle your real Christmas tree with Pilgrims Hospices Tree Recycling initiative, which is celebrating its 10 year anniversary. You can register your real Christmas tree for collection by midnight Thursday 6 January by visiting – Christmas Tree Recycling – Pilgrims Hospices and Pilgrims team of volunteer elves will collect your tree to be recycled from Saturday 15 January – Tuesday 18 January 2022.
