There have been a number of shed breaks occurring at Eaton Lands in Hythe. This has been accompanied with criminal damage and theft of property.

I urge those of you across the district who may store items (expensive or otherwise) away from your premises, to look to your security. Remember to store items of value where you can keep an eye on them or where they are monitored where practicable. If you have no choice then please remember to lock them away securely, out of sight if able and to report to us through 101 or 999 if you see anything suspicious.

On Monday the 17th of January 2022, officers from the Folkestone Community Safety Unit supported Folkestone and Hythe District Council gained a Closure Order at a Property in Cheriton Gardens, Folkestone.

This was following several months of nuisance and disorder from the property.

The order will remain for a period of three months, during which time the council will be seeking full possession. A great result for the neighbours, who can now enjoy a better quality of life.
