A suspected drug dealer was arrested after an eagle-eyed patrol witnessed a drug deal in Folkestone.
The officers were the London Street area on Saturday 15 January 2022 when they saw two men apparently exchanging drugs. Upon seeing the marked police car, the men ran away but the officers spotted one of them a short while later in the same street and stopped him.
Following a search, a quantity of cannabis was located and another search was carried out at the man’s home address. Officers seized a mobile phone linked to county lines drug dealing and a gas-powered hand pistol.
The man, who is in his twenties and from the Folkestone area, has been released under investigation whilst enquiries continue.
