A man has been arrested following an incident which left the victim suffering injuries consistent with stab wounds in Rochester.

Kent Police was called at 6.37pm on Tuesday 18 January 2022, to an address in the Tideway, where a man was assaulted in an area close to a communal entrance for flats.

Officers and the South East Coast Ambulance Service attended and the victim, aged in his 20s, was taken to a London hospital. He remains in a stable condition and the injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

At around 4am on Wednesday 19 January, a 19-year-old man from Rochester was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. The suspect and victim are known to each other. A 54-year-old woman was also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
