Hythe – Nuisance Youths – ASB Update

By Chris Greenacre

A local Ward Surgery was held on my ward at Hythe Library on 25/01/2022.

Issues were raised regarding youths causing ASB in the town and surrounding areas including the canal.

This behaviour has caused a number of local residents to feel anxious about going out.

In response to these concerns my colleague PC Morgan and I have been conducting regular foot patrol in Hythe and engaging with those youths identified as causing the issues. They have been spoken to with their parents present and warned about their behaviour.

To echo my colleague’s earlier post on MCV, it is every parent’s responsibility to know where their children are and whom they are associating with.

Neason Way, Folkestone – Closure Order granted

By Carly Farrow

Folkestone Community Safety Officers successfully supported Folkestone and Hythe District Council in securing a full Closure Order at Folkestone Magistrates Court on Monday the 31st of January 2022.

The residential property on Neason Way in Folkestone had been the subject of anti social nuisance and disorder for many months. This was having a negative impact on the quality of life of the surrounding community, some of whom were suffering as a result.

The order means that no person is to reside or enter the property for a period of three months.

A huge relief for those who have been affected and can now enjoy a better quality of life and special mention to PCSO Tara LIAM who has worked tirelessly with the council to help her community.
