Two men were arrested on suspicion of theft after being observed wheeling barrels of cooking oil away from a property in Folkestone.
Officers from Kent Police’s Roads Policing Unit became aware of a suspicious vehicle at around 2.45am on Monday 7 February 2022.
The black Ford Transit was located in Broomfield Road, Cheriton, a short time later with a number of barrels of cooking oil found in the back.
Arrested
A 54-year-old man from London and a 46-year-old man from Norfolk were then arrested whilst walking away from the back of a business premises in the High Street in possession of further barrels.
Both men remain in custody pending further enquiries.
