Detectives are investigating a report of a robbery in Herne Bay.
The incident happened at a post office in Margate Road, Broomfield at around 5.20pm on Saturday 12 February 2022.
A man is alleged to have entered the premises, assaulted a member of staff and then stolen a quantity of cash from the till.
Description
The suspect is described as being white and was wearing a hooded top, blue jacket, blue jeans, brown boots and gloves. He was also wearing a face mask.
Detective Inspector David Cox said: ‘Investigators have been checking CCTV in the area and completing forensic examinations at the scene.

‘It is thought the suspect might have got into a white van parked near the post office and we are appealing for anybody who may have seen a man acting suspiciously in the area to contact our appeal line.
‘We are also asking motorists with dashcam and residents or businesses with privately held CCTV, to check for footage that may assist the investigation.’
A 41-year-old local man was later arrested in connection with the incident and taken into custody.
