Appeal follows report of assault in Canterbury

Witnesses are being urged to come forward following an assault in Canterbury city centre.

It was reported that at around 3.15am on Friday 11 February 2022, a man witnessed a group of people push another man to the ground and kick him several times.

When the man tried to intervene to stop the attack in St George’s Street, he was punched, resulting in facial injuries.

Officers are asking anyone who witnessed this incident or who may have information which could assist the investigation to contact Kent Police.
