A swift response by police in Deal has led to a stolen bicycle being returned to its owner and a suspect being arrested.

Kent Police was contacted at 1.25pm on Wednesday 16 February 2022 and it was reported that an electric bike had been stolen in the town’s High Street.

Local officers attended the area and reviewed CCTV at nearby businesses. This led to a suspect being identified by one of the town’s PCSOs and a 17-year-old boy being arrested on suspicion of theft.
