Police are appealing for privately held CCTV footage following reports a man used a shovel to cause damage to multiple cars parked in Swanley.

At least seven vehicles were damaged during the early hours of Sunday 27 February 2022, in areas including Lime Road, Hart Dyke Road, Rowen Road and Lynden Way.

The incidents took place between 1.30am and 1.45am, during when the suspect ran away after being challenged by residents. Extensive damage was caused to several windows and windscreens.

Officers have carried out house-to-house enquiries and are also working to establish if the man caused further damage in other locations.

They are urging people living in and near these roads to check any private CCTV footage which could assist the investigation.

Description

The suspect is described as being white and in his late teens to early 20s. He was around five feet and seven inches tall, of slim build and had dark brown hair, which was long on top. He was wearing dark clothing.
