A fast-food delivery driver has been reunited with his stolen bike after officers arrested three teenagers in Chatham.

The rider was one of two victims who had their bikes returned after officers from Medway’s Community Policing Team and Local Policing Team responded to a report of a group of people being seen attempting to steal a bike.

They were reported to be seen attempting to steal a bike at 2.35pm on Wednesday 30 March 2022 in Maritime Way.

Upon arrival officers carried out an area search and three teenagers, matching the description of the suspects, were arrested.

Four stolen bikes and bolt croppers were also recovered.

Two of the teenagers, aged 14 and 16 years old and from Gillingham, have since been bailed until Sunday 3 April 2022.

A 15-year-old boy, also from Gillingham, has been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
