Firefighters rushed to a blaze in a village near Hawkinge at 6.30pm yesterday, 18 April.

Reports were received of a caravan and nearby vehicle on fire in Coach Road, Acrise, near Folkestone.

Crews wearing breathing apparatus put out the blaze using a high-pressure hose but unfortunately the caravan was completely destroyed, with severe damage to one adjacent vehicle and minor damage to another.

One person was assessed by paramedics before being taken to hospital for further treatment.

The cause of the fire has not been established.
