Two people have been arrested in Maidstone less than an hour after a Land Rover was stolen from a location in East Peckham.
The vehicle, which contained personal possessions of the victim including a phone and a laptop, was reported stolen in Bells Farm Road, East Peckham at around 3.40pm on Thursday 21 April 2022.
By 4.10pm the Land Rover had been successfully located by officers to the Parkwood area of Maidstone, where the suspects are alleged to have used the vehicle to deliberately ram the police car and drive onto its bonnet.
Officers were able to get out of their car without any serious injury and the two men were swiftly arrested. The suspects, aged 34 and 49, were taken into custody on suspicion of aggravated vehicle taking.
