Arrest made after suspected ‘Tiger Moth’ arson

An arrest has been made by officers investigating a suspected arson at a pub near Rochester Airport.

Kent Police was called at around 11.25pm on Thursday 5 May 2022 to a report of a fire at the Tiger Moth in Highview Drive.

No injuries were reported but damage was caused to the entrance and interior of the pub.

The following evening officers attended an address in Chatham and arrested a 23-year-old man on suspicion of committing arson with intent to endanger life.

He remains in custody as enquiries into the incident continue.
