Information is sought by officers investigating an assault with a noxious substance in New Ash Green.

Ammonia or bleach

A man has been arrested in connection with allegations two teenage boys had a liquid, believed to be ammonia or bleach, squirted into their faces.

The victims had been walking in an area of parkland near Centre Road, when the assault took place at around 8.20pm on Saturday 7 May 2022.

Officers and South East Coast Ambulance Service attended and they were taken to hospital. The two boys were later discharged.

Arrest

A suspect, aged 19 and believed to be known to the victims, was arrested on suspicion of assault on Monday 9 May. He was later bailed, pending further enquiries, to return to a police station on 3 June.
