Medway Magistrates Court
A suspect has appeared at court following a knifepoint robbery at a Gravesend business.
At 8.40pm on Friday 13 May 2022, a man entered a shop in Livingstone Road where he is alleged to have threatened a member of staff and a customer with a knife.
It is reported he then reached into the till and stole a quantity of cash before leaving the premises.
The police were alerted and, following the completion of enquiries in the area, a knife and some clothing were recovered near the scene.
On Monday 30 May, Gavin Jarvis of Palmer Avenue, Gravesend was arrested. The 29-year-old was later charged with robbery and possession of a knife in a public place.
Mr Jarvis appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 31 May where he was remanded to a hearing at Woolwich Crown Court on 28 June.
