A woman is to appear in court charged with being four times over the legal drink-drive limit after reports she was driving a vehicle with two flat tyres.

The charge comes after Kent Police went to Vale Square, Ramsgate on Monday 13 June 2022 to a report a car had been seen travelling with two flat tyres and it was believed the driver was intoxicated.

Rebecca Huckle, 39, and of no fixed address, was charged on Tuesday 14 June with one count of drink driving.

She was released on bail to attend Margate Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 19 July.

Drink and Drug Driver Liaison officer, PC Dave Sansum, said: ‘As people go out to enjoy the summer months, we remind motorists that consuming alcohol or drugs and then driving puts your life and the lives of others at risk.

‘Officers across the county are equipped to test drivers for cannabis, cocaine, alcohol and specially trained officers can also test for any impairment through drink and other intoxicants. We urge people to play their part in keeping the roads safe for all.’
