A suspected drug dealer has been arrested by Kent Police officers in Canterbury.

The arrest was made during the afternoon of Monday 4 July 2022 while patrols from the County Lines and Gangs Team were in Stonebridge Road due to concerns regarding suspected drug dealing in the area.

Officers were approached by a person asking for directions who was suspected to be carrying drugs.

Following enquiries at the scene, almost 100 wraps of Class A drugs were seized, along with a quantity of cash and two mobile phones

A 24-year-old man from London was arrested on suspicion of possessing Class A drugs with intent to supply and taken into custody.

He has since been released on bail while the investigation continues.
