Kent Police officers have arrested a man spotted climbing a building in Margate following reports of burglaries in the town.
Kent Police was called to a report of a suspected burglary taking place at a commercial premises in Marine Drive, at around 8.20am on Monday 8 August 2022. It was reported that a person had been seen walking through the building.
Officers from the Thanet Community Policing Team carried out a search of the area before detaining a man seen climbing down to the ground from a flat room.
He was further arrested following a report that a private address had also been burgled in the same area that morning.
A 42-year-old man from Margate was arrested on suspicion of burglary and taken into custody while enquiries are ongoing.
