Did you see attempted robbery by boys in Westgate?

Detectives investigating an attempted robbery in Westgate-on-Sea are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

It was reported that between 10pm and 10.20pm on Monday 1 August 2022 the victims, three teenage boys, were walking in Sussex Gardens when the attempted robbery took place.

They were approached by two boys who assaulted them and demanded they hand over their phones and wallets.

When members of the public intervened, the suspects ran off in the direction of Westbrook Promenade.

The first suspect is described as aged 14 or 15, slim, white, with black hair and wore a grey tracksuit.

The second suspect was also white, aged 12 or 13, and had light brown hair and a grey Nike tracksuit.
