A suspect appeared in court after a man suffered life-threatening injuries in Maidstone.
Kent Police was called with ambulance crews to the Hare and Hounds public house in Lower Boxley Road, shortly after 8.35pm on Saturday 20 August 2022.
Remains critical
A man had sustained injuries during a reported altercation and was taken to a London hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.
On Monday 22 August, a man was arrested on suspicion of assault and taken into custody.
John Gibbs, aged 18, of Nickley Wood, Ashford was later charged with inflicting grievous bodily harm. He was remanded in custody to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 24 August.
Investigating officers are continuing to appeal for anybody who witnessed the incident or who has any information which could assist enquiries, to contact the appeal line.
