Kent Police has been receiving a large number of calls reporting vehicle interference and people trying car doors in the early hours of the morning at locations around Folkestone, Hythe and Romney Marsh.

Police have been showing as much presence as possible in these areas.

PCSO Samantha Brooker is urging car owners to ensure vehicles are always locked and secure including windows and sunroof. If it is possible use an alarm, immobiliser, or steering lock and remove all valuables from the vehicle when left unattended.

Portable sat navs and suction marks from your windscreen or dashboard should be cleaned.

Don’t leave tools or equipment in vehicles overnight and park in a garage, in view from your home, or in a busy well-lit area where possible.

If you have any CCTV or Dash Camera footage relating to any vehicle interference, or if you have any information, please contact Kent Police at www.kent.police.uk via the online reporting method or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
