Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to a blaze in Dunes Road, Greatstone, New Romney shortly before 5.00pm on Tuesday 30 August.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet to put out the fire and used a positive pressure ventilation fan to clear the smoke from the property.

The fire is believed to have started due to sunlight being refracted through a snow globe.
