Appeal for dashcam footage
Shortly before 1.00am this morning, Friday 2 September 2022, a black Seat taxi travelling on Jubilee Way, away from the port, was involved in a collision with a grey Range Rover, travelling in the opposite direction.
Man dies at scene
A man in his 50s sustained serious injuries and was confirmed deceased at the scene.
A further three people were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
20-year-old man arrested
A 20-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and taken into custody.
Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are appealing for witnesses or any motorists with dashcam footage to come forward.
