Charges have been authorised against two men accused of running a cannabis factory in Folkestone.

On Wednesday 31 August 2022, Kent Police searched a disused industrial building in Ross Way, where they found six rooms with cannabis plants growing in them, along with other hydroponic equipment.

Two men were arrested in connection with the investigation.

Muhamet Metaj, 29, and Elidjon Dalani, 27, both of no fixed address, have since been charged with abstracting electricity without authority and cultivating cannabis.

They both appeared at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 1 September and were remanded in custody to appear before Canterbury Crown Court on Monday 3 October.
