Officers were called to Medway Hospital in Windmill Road, Gillingham, at around 2.30am on Thursday 8 September 2022 following a report that a man had attempted to get into a residential building.
After a search lasting just over an hour they arrested a man.
He was held on suspicion of vehicle interference after he was found near a car which had its doors open. The vehicle appeared to have been searched inside and some items were missing.
A man in his 20s, from Gillingham, has since been released until Saturday 24 September pending further enquiries.
