Sock stuffed with suspected cocaine discovered in Dartford residential road

Drugs, phones and cash seized

A sock containing ten wraps of suspected cocaine was found in Pinewood Place, Dartford, which officers believe was thrown from a car window.

At around 6pm on Monday 3 October 2022 patrols from Kent Police and the Metropolitan Police were in the area when they were alerted to a suspicious vehicle which was flagged down. One of the officers witnessed something being thrown from the car before the driver stopped in Franklin Road.

Mobile phones and cash

One PC went to look around Pinewood Place to see what the object was and found a sock stuffed with white powder. Officers in Franklin Road spoke to the driver and searched the car. They seized three mobile phones and a quantity of cash. Another sock, like the one found containing drugs, was also found in the car.

A 19-year-old man from Longfield was arrested at the scene on suspicion of possession of class A drugs with intent to supply. He has since been released pending further enquiries.
