A large quantity of cannabis has been seized after officers in Canterbury searched two properties in the city.

Police searched properties in Sancroft Avenue and Kent Avenue on the Wednesday 9 November 2022 following intelligence they may be being used to grow the drug.

More than 100 plants were seized at each address and a suspect was arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis.

Following an investigation by East Kent CID, one person has been charged with producing cannabis in relation to the Sancroft Avenue address.

The 30-year-old, of Sancroft Avenue, Canterbury, was due to appear before Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Friday 11 November.
