Three suspects have been charged with burgling homes in Borough Green and Ashford after a suspicious car was stopped by police in London.
The men were arrested just hours after items including high value watches, wedding and engagement rings and bank cards had been reported stolen during two break-ins.
The offences are alleged to have taken place on Tuesday 8 November 2022, after windows were smashed to gain entry to an address near Maidstone Road in Borough Green and a property in Field Mill Road, Egerton, Ashford.
At 2.15pm, a Ford Focus was stopped by colleagues from Surrey Police in the Hammersmith area of London.
A number of suspicious items were seized from the car and all the occupants were arrested and transferred into custody in Kent.
Charged and remanded
Jorge Bravo, 36, from Maida Vale, London, has now been charged with three counts of burglary and driving without insurance.
Jorge Espinoza, 18, from Maida Vale, London, is charged with two counts of burglary and handling stolen goods.
Williams Jean-Michel Andres, 27, from Vauxhall, London, is charged with two counts of burglary and handling stolen goods.
All three appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Friday 11 November and were remanded in custody. Their next hearing will be at Maidstone Crown Court on 9 December.
