Two suspected burglars have appeared in court following an investigation into break-ins in east Kent.
On the afternoon of Monday 21 November 2022, officers on patrol near Sandwich saw a van which had been linked to recent burglaries in the area.
Police stopped the vehicle and two men were arrested.
Further investigation by the Chief Constable’s Crime Squad has led to two men being charged with conspiracy to burgle.
The charge relates to 10 burglaries and attempted burglaries of homes in Canterbury, Herne Bay and the surrounding area in October and November this year.
A 32-year-old man from Canterbury, and a man aged 28, from Herne Bay, appeared before Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 23 November and were remanded in custody to appear before Canterbury Crown Court on Tuesday 3 January 2022
